All entrants are requested to complete their entry forms as required, and summit their completed entries, together with the requested supporting documents for the respective category to firstname.lastname@example.org on or before 11 April 2018. Confirmation of receipt of entry will be sent to all applicants within 48 working hours of receipt. Steps involved in the entry and adjudication process:

In the first round of adjudication the entries will be analysed and shortlisted by the judges. Application and supporting documents will be analysed by a panel of experts comprising of leaders in the respective fields. Please refer to the Awards Categories and Award Criteria for an overview of the specific criteria relevant for the different categories. Based on the assessment, the judges will shortlist the top three entities in each category. The person(s) responsible for the entry, or other person to be appointed by the employer to represent it, is/are required to diarise and keep 25 April 2018 open, this being the date on which all finalists will be interviewed by judges. Failure by a representative of an entrant to attend the interview at the scheduled time, will result in disqualification.
The Awards Committee will notify entrees by 19 April 2018 whether or not they have been shortlisted as finalists and, if so, in which category.
The nominated representative(s) of the shortlisted entrants will be invited to an adjudication panel interview by the judges on 25 April 2018 at a time to be determined by them in the invitation. The purpose of the interview is to obtain further and better information about the entry, and clarify and aspects that the judges are of the view require clarification. The winner of each category will be decided based on the information furnished in the entry, supporting documents, completed templates and above interview.
The Awards Committee will notify all shortlisted entrants by 26 April 2018 whether or not they have been selected as one of the three finalists, and, if so, in which category
Each finalist in each category shall furnish the awards coordinator with a summary of their entry (in no more than 1000 words), for invclusion in the EEDT Summit delegates' files, by no later than 3 May 2018, highlighting the progress and/or their successses, measured against the category’s criteria. This is to be included Failure to do so in any category will lead to the entrant’s disqualification in such category. The organisers reserve the right to, in consultation with the entrant, effect changes to any such summary received in order to ensute that delegates obtain the greatest benefits therefrom.
The top three entrees in each category (finalists) will be presented with SABPP EEDT Certificates of Excellence on 14 May 2018 during the Gala Dinner at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg, when the winner of each category will be announced. At least one representative from each finalist in each Category needs to attend the Awards Dinner so that he/she can receive the award on behalf of the entrant.
The winner of each category will present their case study during the EEDT Summit on 15 May 2018. As the winners will only be announced at the Awards Dinner on 14 May 2018, the representative of each finalist in each category who is to present its Case Study at the EEDT Summit in the event of the finalist wining Award, also needs to diarise and keep 25 April 2018 open, this being the date on which all finalists will be interviewed by judges.
